The Ajax leadership announced the change of name for the Amsterdam Arena. It will now be called the Johann Cruyff Arena, and it will come into force from the 2018-19 season.
The updated logo of the arena will be presented on 25 April - the 71st anniversary of the birth of the legendary striker and coach Johan Cruyff. As a player, Ajax striker has won 18 trophies, as a coach - 6 titles. Cruyff died on 24 March 2016 at the age of 68.
