Clippers forward Paul George commented on the situation surrounding Russell Westbrook, who, after being traded to Utah, can agree to buy out his contract and become a free agent.
If we can sign someone like Russell and he fits our team, we`re all for it. Although I think we`ll still be good even if nothing happens. Our team has everything to win, but acquiring a classic point guard would definitely be beneficial. We need someone who can flirt with partners and create open shots. I hope Russell sees this and we can figure something out.
We have a lot of shooters who can create plenty of space for Russ. In such conditions he can be himself. I`m a big fan of Russ and had one of the best seasons of my career with him. I saw his ability to play in every match. I really believe in him. I think he is still capable of a lot and can improve any team.
He is very talented. He fights for rebounds, plays on other guys and makes the game from soccer livescores easier for his team. I think he will understand how we play and adapt to it. I`ve already talked to him. Just wanted to know what he was thinking, if there was anything I could do to help and stuff like that, " George said.
