Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis is adamant that Stefano Pioli was his first choice to coach the team next season. He also denied reports that Ralph Rangnik had a preliminary contract with the Rossoneri.

As we have stated several times in the past, Pioli has always been a candidate for the future to implement our vision of a competitive and modern Milan.
